چکیده

A system which differs from an integrable Hamiltonian system with two degrees of freedom by a small Hamiltonian perturbation and much a smaller non-Hamiltonian perturbation is considered. The unperturbed system is isoenergetically nondegenerate. The averaging method is used for an approximate description of solutions of the exact system on a time interval inversely proportional to the amplitude of the non-Hamiltonian perturbation. The error of this description (averaged over initial conditions) is estimated from above by a value proportional to the square root of the amplitude of the Hamiltonian perturbation. 2000 Math. Subj. Bifurcation of limit cycles from a quadratic reversible center with the unbounded elliptic separatrix

The paper is concerned with the bifurcation of limit cycles in general quadratic perturbations of a quadratic reversible and non-Hamiltonian system, whose period annulus is bounded by an elliptic separatrix related to a singularity at infinity in the poincar'{e} disk. Attention goes to the number of limit cycles produced by the period annulus under perturbations. By using the appropriate Picard...

Isochronicity-induced bifurcations in systems of weakly dissipative coupled oscillators

We consider the dynamics of networks of oscillators that are weakly dissipative perturbations of identical Hamiltonian oscillators with weak coupling. Suppose the Hamiltonian oscillators have angular frequency ω(α) when their energy is α. We address the problem of what happens in a neighbourhood of where dω/dα = 0; we refer to this as a point of isochronicity for the oscillators. If the couplin...

Dilations‎, ‎models‎, ‎scattering and spectral problems of 1D discrete Hamiltonian systems

In this paper, the maximal dissipative extensions of a symmetric singular 1D discrete Hamiltonian operator with maximal deficiency indices (2,2) (in limit-circle cases at ±∞) and acting in the Hilbert space ℓ_{Ω}²(Z;C²) (Z:={0,±1,±2,...}) are considered. We consider two classes dissipative operators with separated boundary conditions both at -∞ and ∞. For each of these cases we establish a self...

Horseshoes in Perturbations of Hamiltonian Systems with Two Degrees of Freedom*

This paper concerns Hamiltonian and non-Hamiltonian perturbations of integrable two degree of freedom Hamiltonian systems which contain homoclinic and periodic orbits. Our main example concerns perturbations of the uncoupled system consisting of the simple pendulum and the harmonic oscillator. We show that small coupling perturbations with, possibly, the addition of positive and negative dampin...
